The Self-Help Center has computers that can be used to prepare your forms and calculate your support, including overdue support (arrearages). The Self-Help Center is staffed by an attorney and/or paralegal interns. The attorneys in the Self-Help Center cannot give strategic or tactical advice.
The Self-Help Center provides help with: divorce, legal separation, annulment, child custody, child support, domestic violence. There is no child care available at the Self-Help Center. If you must bring your child, bring someone who can watch your child while you are in the Center.
Hours: Monday - Friday 9:00 a.m. to noon.

This video covers: the divorce process; separate and community property and debts; spousal support; child custody and visitation; child support; how to negotiate and settle your case; how to make a written agreement; when and how to use an attorney when you are handling your own case. This video/DVD is available at Placer County Public Libraries. You may also view the video at the County Law Library, 1523 Lincoln Way, across from the Historic Courthouse in Auburn.
