Hon. W. Kearse McGill, Review Department of the California State Bar Court in Los Angeles will be our July speaker. Judge McGill will be speaking on Something Old, Something New: What Has and Hasn’t Changed in Attorney Professional Conduct.* Judge McGill will focus his presentation on how the current attorney professional conduct rules affect probate and estate planning attorneys. Judge McGill was the presiding judge of the Division of Workers’ Compensation in Stockton prior to his appointment to the State Bar Court of California’s hearing department in May 2015. He is currently a review judge in Los Angeles, for the State Bar Court of California. As a workers’ compensation judge, he oversaw the processing of workers’ compensation claims and resolved disputes over claims for benefits. Prior to that, he was counsel for applicants and defense counsel in private practice. Judge McGill is a graduate of McGeorge School of Law and Clemson University.
This lunch will be held at McCormick & Schmick's located at the Fountains in Roseville (Roseville Parkway and Galleria Blvd.,) on July 8, 2019. Registration begins at 11:40 by checking in and grabbing your entree card. Don't worry if you forget what you ordered, we will have that information on hand. Presentation begins at Noon.
