Join us on August 12 for lunch and listen to Steven Gurnee (founding member of Gurnee, Mason, Rushford, Bonotto & Forestiere LLP,) speak on the topic of critical law and issues for Estate Planners concerning Funeral and Cemetery Law. Mr. Gurnee has been practicing for over 30 years. His practice includes trial experience in high exposure cases involving professional negligence, employment, products liability, public entities, construction defects, flood, fire and agricultural losses, aviation, real estate and general personal injury matters. He is a known as an expert in the field of funeral and cemetery law and is frequently called upon by owners of funeral homes, cemeteries, and crematoria to provide advice and to defend litigation involving a wide spectrum of issues affecting those industries.
As noted above, this presentation will focus on funeral and cemetery law, and the issues that estate planning practitioners should be aware of in drafting and preparing estate plans and accompanying documents. He will discuss how to handle certain issues that arise upon death, and other useful and relevant information in the course of funeral and death planning.
This lunch will be held at McCormick & Schmick's located at the Fountains in Roseville (Roseville Parkway and Galleria Blvd.,) on August 12. Registration begins at 11:40 by checking in and grabbing your entree card. Don't worry if you forget what you ordered, we will have that information on hand. Presentation begins at Noon.
